BIOLUMINICENCE

The bioluminescence tour offers a magical experience by observing how the waters light up with bluish flashes caused by marine microorganisms.

Starting point

Generally, the tours start on the beach dead after sunset or if you wish you can leave from the Pochote estuary.

Schedule

Departures are usually scheduled at sunset, around 4:30 p.m., to take advantage of the transition from day to night and maximize the visibility of bioluminescence.

Duration

Approximately 3 hours and 30 minutes, depending on the service and weather conditions.

Route

1. Visit to Playa Muertos:

A stop is made on this beach of white sand and calm waters, ideal for swimming and enjoying the sunset. Here, snacks such as fresh fruits and drinks are usually offered.

2. Observation of Bioluminescence:

At nightfall, you navigate to areas with a high concentration of bioluminescent plankton. You can swim or snorkel in the illuminated waters, living a unique experience.

3. Mangrove Tour:

At the end we give you a tour through the Pochote mangrove, where you can also observe a large concentration of Bioluminescence.
